Overview

The Facility Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the manufacturability of new developmental products (NiTiNol tubes) and refine/improve previously existing ones. The Facility Engineer will participate in the development and implementation of improvement projects, root cause analysis and other projects that reduce lead time and improve profitability.

The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and analytical skills prefers a hands-on approach to problem solving and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Follow ASTM and ISO standards for material testing and traceability procedures.
  • Document and provide basic analysis of test results using standard computer programs.
  • Work with Operations, Quality to support research and production.
  • Troubleshoot problems and define preventative and corrective actions.
  • Create documents, and work instructions as required.
  • Present findings or oral arguments to management when necessary.
  • Maintain equipment and lab supplies to support testing
  • Assist with the facility maintenance activities and projects for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, process gas systems, compressed air, fire, security, and IT systems.
  • Work in conjunction with the Company's EH&S consultant and the Company's Safety Committee to ensure the Company complies with all Federal, State and Local Laws and Regulations including the timely filing of all permits and reports, including employee training. Assist with the development, review, implementation and training of Safety Policies and Procedures

Qualifications

  • Self-starter, must be able to work under minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical.
  • 5 years of experience minimum in a manufacturing role and/or research and development role.
  • Good communication skills a must
  • PLC programming
  • Experience working in ISO-9000, GMP or similar environment
  • Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD design is a plus.
