Overview

The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will lead the Resonetics’ EH&S and Laser Safety Programs and will ensure that all asigned sites are compliant with all National, Intermediate, and Local Governmental Laws and Regulations.  The hands-on nature of this role, from developing procedures, performing audits and investigations, to training staff and administering the EHS and Laser Safety Programs, must be emphasized.

 

This position will office out of our Hutchinson, MN site with oversite and periodic travel to Blaine, MN, Hudson, WI and Kettering, OH.

Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the EH&S and Laser Safety technical expert and point of contact for all Resonetics sites.
  • Develop and Maintain the framework for the Corporate Compliance Program including developing all required procedures, training and policies.
  • Act as subject matter expert providing compliance support across all sites.
  • Work in conjunction with the Company’s EH&S consultant and each Site’s Safety Committees to ensure the Company complies with all National, Intermediate and Local Governmental Laws and Regulations including the timely filing of all permits and reports, including employee training.
  • Conduct regular on-site safety audits of all sites to ensure all areas are compliant and safe.  Report any findings and subsequent corrective actions to the appropriate responsible manager for action and closure.
  • Assist sites with conducting Accident Investigations and Job Safety Analysis.
  • Ensure all sites and leadership are informed of all safety alerts and safety metrics.
  • Maintain all corporate safety records in accordance with federal and local regulations.
  • Act as the Corporate Chemical Safety & Laser Safety Officer.
  • Manage Hazardous waste coordination at all sites.
  • Maintain Laser Safety Officer Certification.
  • Create and maintain a laser safety program and ensure compliance towards the program in all facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 4-year technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an EHS Regulatory, Supervisory or Managerial role.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills.
  • Solid understanding of Federal, State and Local Laws and Regulations as they relate to Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word & Projects.
