The full-time Lightspeed Engineer - Swiss will be reporting directly to the Director, Lightspeed Lab, As a Lightspeed Engineer - Swiss (also known as CNC Swiss Lathe Operator), you'll program, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss lathes, utilize CAM software, and ensure the production of high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

  • Translate detailed part drawings, models, and job instructions into Swiss machining methods to accurately create finished parts.
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC Swiss machining equipment utilizing a wide range of controls.
  • Adjust tools and replace them as necessary to maintain optimal machining performance.
  • Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required.
  • Recognize problematic processes or unsafe setups and recommend alternative approaches.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to high standards of conduct and job performance.
  • Ensure compliance with written manufacturing procedures, company policies, and quality regulations.
  • Preform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two years Swiss Programming experience
  • Five years of experience operating CNC Swiss lathes.
  • Two or more years of experience in CNC machining and programming, with a preference for proficiency in DP Technology ESPRIT.
  • High school diploma/GED. Strong mechanical and technical abilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
