Overview

As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing our global manufacturing operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our network. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, capacity, and overall performance of our manufacturing plants worldwide, positioning our company for sustained growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

Global Manufacturing Network Strategy:

  • Current and Future State Modeling: Develop and maintain models for space utilization, capacity planning, and machine/cell/line/facility optimization. This includes supporting manufacturing site selection, defining site growth roadmaps, and planning for future state scenarios.
  • Capacity and Space Planning: Build and refine models for global manufacturing capacity and space allocation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Continuous Improvement and Optimization:

  • Lead and collaborate on kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine/cell/line efficiency, optimize layouts, improve staffing, and streamline material flow.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Development teams, and Enterprise Excellence peers to identify and implement optimization opportunities.

Additional Focus Areas:

  • Involved in setup optimization, operator training enhancement, statistical process control implementation, and equipment/fixture/tool design and selection to meet performance metrics.
  • Support the execution and re-qualification of improvements and serve as project manager for specific initiatives when necessary.
  • Conduct time studies, gather and analyze data, and report on activities and performance metrics on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Act as a liaison for customer-related quality or continuation engineering issues, ensuring high standards of service and product quality.

Mentorship and Training:

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to other engineers and production personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Quality System Regulations (QSR) or ISO 13485 standards.
  • Proven knowledge and application of Lean/Continuous Improvement principles, including line balancing, equipment capacity modeling, 5S, waste reduction, value stream mapping, kaizen, and layout optimization.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50%, including internationally.
