Overview

 

This position will lead technical efforts in Nitinol shape-set tool design and component heat treatment, driving innovation in micro-fabrication and manufacturing technologies. This role combines hands-on expertise with mentorship, supporting rapid prototyping and production transition. The ideal candidate brings expert SolidWorks skills, Nitinol experience, and a strong background in tool design and advanced manufacturing. 

Must have nitinol experience.

Responsibilities

 

  • Design and develop innovative tools and fixtures for micro-manufacturing.
  • Serve as a technology leader, training teams and sharing best practices across sites.
  • Collaborate on Lightspeed rapid prototyping and seamless production transitions.
  • Mentor peers in setup, troubleshooting, and process development.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO-certified systems, quality documentation, and best measurement practices.
  • Own and monitor data accuracy, ensuring metrics align with site goals and maintaining data integrity.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in R&D, Advanced Technology Group (ATG) initiatives, and production readiness projects.
  • Evaluate system designs, perform testing/validation, and document process parameters.
  • Identify unmet customer needs and recommend new technologies to improve system performance.
  • Proactively communicate with customers, providing solutions and recovery plans for issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments, advancing Resonetics’ technologies and processes.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science or equivalent, with 8+ years of experience (6+ years with a Master’s).
  • Expertise in SolidWorks, tool design, and fabrication.
  • Proficiency in materials science, especially Nitinol and medical device materials.
  • Familiarity with ISO-certified quality systems and GD&T standards.
  • Experience in validations (e.g., TMV, GRR, OQ/PQ).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ownership of data metrics and monitoring for accuracy.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $120,000.00 - $160,000.00.
