Overview

Primarily responsible for demonstrating process feasibility and meeting quality specifications on projects.  Assist in transitioning customer projects to production through the NPI process in a small team and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining, planning, and execute projects per quoted
    conditions with innovation and urgency, ensuring product quality meets or
    exceeds technology specific workmanship standards
  • Understanding of basic parameters and variables that affect outputs
  • Take ownership and responsibility of assigned tasks and quality of deliverables
  • Able to setup and modify existing workstation program software to produce
    acceptable product using Resonetics Technology
  • Strong productivity and independence, ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Read and interpret print specifications on projects, ensure all
    required visual and geometric measurements are taken and documented per
    Quality Systems requirements
  • Able to measure product using site metrology equipment either
    manually or using an established computer controlled measurement program
  • Document process parameters and project details for each project
    accurately per Resonetics Quality Systems requirements
  • Take ownership of data for responsibilities as assigned, ensuring data is
    accurately presented in Resonetics digital systems
  • Collaborate with an Engineer to complete a Quote
  • Proactively communicate with the customer on issues with a recovery plan,
    status, and results of an order with support from your manager
  • Participate in customer calls as requested
  • Works effectively on a given task, driving to completion.
  • Seeks continuous self-improvement, open and willing to accept constructive
    criticism
  • Participate on projects moving to Production using PReP process, complete PReP
    deliverables
  • Participate in Advanced Technology Group activities and deliverables as
    requested
  • Mentor and guide Technicians and Associate Engineers
  • Ability to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processes
  • Support site overall goals per Site Director, contributing to programs as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience 

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering/science or equivalent experience
  • Ability to generate drawings and models (2D & 3D CAD) using GD&T
  • Ability to present and convey engineering ideas to internal and external customers
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings using a GD&T system
  • Ability to quickly and positively adapt to changing priorities and processes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial laser such as excimer, CO2, DPSS, ultrafast and beam deliveries
  • Ability to create job related documentation for quality purposes
  • Proficient with the use of optical inspection equipment.  This may be defined as a magnifier, microscope, and/or equipment used for measuring capacity
  • Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems particularly in medical device manufacturing
  • Ability to create and troubleshoot programs for inspection devices and other auxiliary equipment
  • Ability to generate machine motion control programs (i.e. G-Code)
  • Basic understanding of laser-material interaction for a specific application (i.e. laser welding, excimer laser- polymer, etc.) and how to apply that understanding

Physical Demands

  • Standing and walking for short periods of time
  • Ability to use a microscope, including manipulating small objects under a microscope
