Resonetics is seeking a Manager of Accounting Operations. This role will be responsible for providing guidance and managerial oversight of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, with a strong focus on working capital. Other ad hoc tasks as needed in support of the Director of Finance or other members of the Finance team. This is a hands-on role for an ambitious professional with multi-tasking abilities, the desire to improve processes, reduce cycle time and take on projects to expand their expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable groups by providing oversight and guidance of all matters related and applicable to AP and AR.
  • Periodically review AR aging reports to ensure receivables are current and collections are actively being made and action plans are executed on.
  • Periodically review AP aging reports to ensure payables are paid within terms.
  • Prepare management reporting and relevant working capital KPIs.
  • Perform thorough analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts resulting in recommending/executing correcting entries, raising potential issues for discussion, identifying problem accounts, analyzing balances for accuracy and completeness, and proposing accrual or deferral entries as appropriate.
  • Co-own AR and AP master data with other business units and the Information Systems group, enforcing data governance policies.
  • Administer P-Card and T&E Card systems, including user support.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of ERP systems and how transactions flow and impact the relevant subsidiary ledgers and general ledgers. 
  • Work collaboratively with Finance team members, perform account analysis and support schedules with high transaction volume.
  • Oversee annual 1099 preparation and filings.
  • Prepare and submit sales and use tax filings to applicable jurisdictions.
  • Partner with FP&A to develop general ledger entries and divisional reporting.
  • Take ownership of assigned areas in month end close as needed.
  • Advanced understanding of overall balance sheet reconciliation process, particularly around Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and accruals.
  • Review assigned general ledger account reconciliations and assist with clearing out “old” items, where necessary.
  • Assist with external audit requests, acting as liaison to external auditors.
  • Process map existing processes and provide recommendations to the Assistant Controller to streamline or eliminate work.
  • Maintain a strong sense of integrity and business partnering while performing all tasks.
  • Other projects and analysis as directed and/or needed by the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5-10 years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience, with working knowledge of manufacturing processes, and 2-3 years of supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
  • Proficient with the use of ERP systems and ability to pull detail data to support account analysis.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs:  Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Advanced proficiency in Excel is required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, SumIfs, etc.)
  • Good understanding of cost accounting and variances
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $90,000 - $110,000/year.
