The Commercial Analytics Manager will play an important role in guiding strategic decision-making across the organization. Working cross-functionally with sales, operations, finance, and corporate development, this individual will deliver actionable insights to support key decision-makers on initiatives to enhance revenue growth, market share, and profitability. The Commercial Analytics Manager will be comfortable synthesizing disparate data, drawing meaningful conclusions about business trends, and translating analysis to non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modelling, data analysis, business intelligence, and experience within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that provide key insights into sales trends, customer behavior, and market opportunities.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on commercial performance, pricing strategies, and customer segmentation to identify growth opportunities.
  • Utilize predictive and prescriptive analytics to support strategic decision-making for market expansion and product development.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, operations, and corporate development teams to align analytics with business strategies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure commercial forecasts are aligned with financial goals and performance metrics.
  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams to improve data infrastructure, ensuring easy access to real-time data for commercial teams.

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor behavior to support strategic planning and commercial decisions.
  • Support competitive intelligence efforts to identify market opportunities and risks, making recommendations for pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor global economic and industry trends to anticipate potential impacts on the business.

Advanced Analytics Tools & Technologies:

  • Identify and implement advanced analytics technologies, including AI, machine learning, and data visualization tools, to enhance business intelligence capabilities.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in analytics and data science, integrating new tools and methodologies into the commercial analytics strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporate development, or business intelligence, ideally with experience analyzing manufacturing businesses.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing data-driven strategies to optimize commercial performance.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, business analysis, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, market dynamics, and financial metrics.
