We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing finance team as a Sr. Accounting Manager. This exciting opportunity will work closely with our accounting team to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial records in accordance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, proven team leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor GL Accountants
  • Perform primary review of journal entries and account reconciliations associated with the monthly and quarterly close process.
  • Lead month-end closing
  • Point of contact for SME level knowledge of Epicor.
  • Reconcile bank account
  • Maintain tax exemption certificates.
  • Maintain information necessary to perform annual 1099 reporting.
  • Assist in developing and implementing process and system improvements in the accounting function.
  • Support various ongoing projects throughout the year.
  • Partner with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience working with external audit firms.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to communicate both orally and written in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Team player with the ability to multi-task between priorities.
  • Ability to work in a professional, fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in finance or similar field.
  • Experience with Epicor or similar ERP.
  • CPA – public accounting experience
  • Advanced excel.
  • Knowledge of percentage of completion accounting.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands

  • Light office work
  • Hybrid working environment with the ability to be in office a minimum of 3 days per week

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $120,000-$154,000.
