Our Manufacturing Engineer focuses on introducing and establishing new Manufacturing Processes plus Process Maintenance and Continuous Improvement for existing Manufacturing Processes.

 

Additional areas of focus may include: setup reduction, operator training, tool design or selection, performance metrics, and drafting development plans. Other daily responsibilities will include: procedure generation, participation in production readiness activities for new clients and designing continuous improvement plans for current production jobs. As improvements are identified, it will very likely be the responsibility of this individual to document, implement, train and re-qualify any changes.

Responsibilities

  • Development and Maintenance of Preventative Maintenance Programs for Production Customers.
  • Drive Manufacturing/Production Team activities and report on metrics.
  • Controls software development/optimization ahead of production readiness and Validations.
  • Controls software development/optimization.
  • Perform DOEs where process assessment optimization is required.
  • Process Validations
  • Process Documentation and training where applicable (Manufacturing Process, Manufacturing, Setup, Preventive Maintenance etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment in an engineering technician role or a combination of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field plus 1 year experience.
  • Strong oral communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills, able to write detailed reports, comprehensive.
  • Automated measurement system programming skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Controls Software experience.
  • Automated measurement system programming experience.
  • Knowledge of SPC or other process capability analysis for use in the determination of production readiness.
  • Experience working with multiple axis motion controllers.
  • Experience with industrial lasers such as excimer, CO2 and beam deliveries.
  • Experience working in a medical device or regulated environment.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $70,000-$79,000
