The Sr. Waster System Technician maintains and operates supplied water systems including RO and DI to supply water to specifications. Maintains and operates wastewater systems, ensuring generated waste water is properly treated to meet requirements prior to returning to the municipal system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process and sludge management.
  • Assist with new equipment requirement definition and installation.
  • Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, and filtration systems.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair RO and DI systems to ensure water quality meets specifications.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair waste treatment equipment to effectively remove hazardous materials ensuring outgoing water meets Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • General maintenance and housekeeping within all Resonetics basement areas.
  • Cross train on Chemical Handler job requirements to serve as a backup resource.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • AAS or Diploma in a water systems field.

  • MN wastewater license.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a water systems role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DOT/RCRA/EPA hazardous material training

  • Prior experience operating forklifts

  • Knowledge of industrial chemicals and proper disposal methods

  • Respirator certified

  • Previous training in fall prevention and confined space entry

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to enter confined spaces
  • Ability to wear SCBA and full-face mask
  • Ability to ascend and descend 30-foot vertical ladders

Compensation

·         The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $23-$33.00 per hour.
