The Manufacturing Engineering Co-op will support engineering projects within a fast-paced medical-device manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to the development and improvement of equipment, tooling, fixtures, manufacturing processes, and technical documentation that support the production of precision components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with the design, modification, and documentation of tooling, fixtures, workstations, and manufacturing-support equipment.
  • Support trials, data collection, troubleshooting, and process-improvement activities on the manufacturing floor.
  • Help create and revise drawings, work instructions, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Participate in equipment and process evaluations, including identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, and ergonomics.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, NPI, and Lightspeed teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomedical, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Familiarity with CAD and basic engineering drawing practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work directly with production teams.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to organize multiple priorities.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $23.00 to $28.00.
